C24 is a 24-hour game development challenge that invites teams of 2-10 members to craft a game from scratch within a single day. The event kicks off at 12pm on July 14th, where the competitors are communicated a theme to inspire their game. Teams are encouraged to unleash their creativity and showcase their game-making skills, submitting their final game by 12pm the following day.
Submitted games are exhibited on the C24 website after the competition, and serves as a way to showcase upcoming talent within the industry.
The identity of C24 draws inspiration from pixel art and binary code. All designs adhere to a 24x24 grid, symbolising the 24-hour timeframe allotted to the teams. This visual language is crafted for versatile application across various digital and social platforms.
Each team in the competition is symbolised by a unique grid of squares arranged in a 6x4 formation, reminiscent of a QR code. This concept is also reflected in the C24 logo, which features the same grid pattern with randomised squares, reinforcing the event's identity.
